We are a growing church with a big heart, working to transform the lives of all God's People through the preaching and teaching of God's Word; coupled with our natural propensity to shower others with love, care, concern and compassion.
As we watch the media news reports; and we read our daily newspapers, we find that LOVE is missing throughout this World, Country, State and Valley. First Baptist Church of Tarentum, PA believes in providing love, care, concern and compassion to all people irregardless of socio-economic status; spiritual growth level; age; gender; and race among others.
Our world today is filled with turmoil. We are exposed to this turmoil everyday through news media outlets; political conversations; as well as through the lost and marginalized we see daily within our communities, among other things. First Baptist Church of Tarentum, PA is a proponent of social justice; racial reconciliation; and political freedom. The values and views of all people are welcome and respected.
We believe in the Supreme authority of the Bible and its sufficiency as our only rule of faith and practice. Consistent with Baptist principles, we believe in the Believer's Baptism by Immersion. We also believe in the solemn obligation of majority rule; equal rights for all and special privileges for none. The spiritual unity of all Believers is our ultimate goal. Within these walls, we believe in the absolute separation of Church and State.
We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Moreover, we believe that Jesus is the Son of God; that He died on the cross; and that He rose again so that we might be saved.
